Management
Tezpur Gurukul Society, established under the Societies Act, 1860, is responsible for the strategic management of the school. Day to day operational management is jointly done by the Principal and the Manager of the school.
Our Principal
Mr. Gautam Borah has about fifteen years of teaching and administrative experience. He has a Masters and a B. Ed. He is a dynamic academician and is a firm believer in discipline and hard work. He has full operational responsibility of the academic organization. He joined our family in early 2012 and before joining us he worked as a principal, vice-principal and teacher in many VKV (Vivekananda) schools.
Our Manager
Mrs. Nivedita Das Baruah has about thirteen years of teaching, administrative and managerial experience. She has an Engineering degree, a B. A. and a B. Ed. She has full operational responsibility of the non-teaching organization. She is a thorough professional and a firm believer in "actions speak louder than words". She joined our family in 2004 and prior to that served as an Assistant Manager in a reputed Tea Garden.
Our Head Mistress
Mrs. Marami Baruah has about fifteen years of teaching and administrative experience. She has a Masters and a B. Ed. She joined our family in 2004 and before joining us she worked as a teacher in several reputed schools.
Our Chief Warden
Mr. Parag Kalita has about ten years of teaching and administrative experience. He is a Graduate. He has full operational responsibility of the hostel(s). He is an energetic professional and a firm believer in "winners never quit and quitters never win". He joined our family in early 2012 and prior to that served in a reputed residential school.
Our Directors
Academic Director:Prof. H. Bothra has been with us in an honorary capacity since 2004 and has been providing strategic advisory guidance for the academic organization. He is a retired Professor of Botany from Darrang College, Tezpur. He is also one of the founding members of Tezpur Science Academy.
Administrative Director: Mr. D. C. Rajkhowa has been with us in an honorary capacity since 2006 and has overall strategic responsibility for the non academic organization. He is a retired DSP from Meghalaya police force. He also served as the General Secretary of Srimanta Sankardev Society, Shillong where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Society’s school and other organizations.

Prof. S. Sharma (Retired Principal of Darrang College), Prof. P. Sharma (Retired Teacher of Darrang College), Dr. S. Saikia (Pediatrician), Dr. D. Dutta (Dentist), Mr. P. Barman (Ex-Principal of Tezpur Gurukul under whose leadership the first two batches of Class X successfully completed the CBSE Board exam)
Our Founder
Mr. A. Roy is the Founder. He is an Engineer and an MBA. He is a son of a teacher. He conceptualized the vision of the school and funded all assets of the school. He is a business consultant by profession and practices in the USA. His clients include McGraw Hill (Education), Scholastics (Education), KCI (Healthcare), Motorola, General Electric, etc.
He strongly believes that "success is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration". He lives by the mantra of "less talk, make it happen" . His favorite quote is "If you want ten years of prosperity, grow trees; if you want hundred years of prosperity, grow people".
